About

The stories Malaysia is talking about, told properly.

Malaysia Right Now is a media brand with a simple promise: when something is going round the country, you will find it here, written well, with the facts checked against the reporting and every picture and clip credited to where it came from.

Where the stories come from

We do not guess what matters. The Malaysian Attention Engine, our sister product, measures what the country is paying attention to across newspapers, broadcasters and video channels in four languages, minute by minute. When a story crosses a threshold, it lands on our writers’ desk with everything the engine knows: the reports, the timeline, who is involved, and the clips people are sharing.

Credit where it is due

Every photograph and video on this site names the account or outlet it came from and links back to it. Clips from TikTok, YouTube and X play through those platforms’ own players, so the creator keeps the view. A story cannot be published here if any picture or clip is missing its source.

What we are not

We are not a wire service and we are not first. We are the version you send to the family group chat because it finally explains what happened.
